MONTAGUE Paratrooper Pro Folding Mountain Bike with RackStand

Take your off-road riding to the next level with the Paratrooper Pro.

The Paratrooper Pro is a full-size folding mountain bike that builds on Montague's classic military model with upgraded components. With plenty of gears for climbing and 100mm of travel in the front shocks to absorb the bumps of off-road trails, you’ll be ready to tackle the toughest terrain. Or utilise the fork lockout and versatile tyre tread for hardpacked trails and the occasional paved road.

Just like the original Paratrooper, the Pro is known for its durability and load-bearing capabilities and has developed a following with everyday commuters and weekend warriors. The included RackStand acts as a cargo rack, kickstand, folded bike stand, and features a built-in mudguard.

DirectConnect™ Folding System

The DirectConnect folding system removes the quick release from the top tube, provides an easier folding experience and larger clamping surface between the two halves of the frame. A flip of the quick-release lever and your bike folds to a compact size.

Folding Integrated Technology

The Paratrooper Pro frame is designed around another patented system that allows the bike to fold without any breaks in the frame’s tubing. Not only does this make it easier to fold, but it makes Montague bikes the strongest folding bike on the market. The Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) is based around the same frame construction concepts as serious full suspension downhill bikes.

RackStand

RackStand is a luggage carrier, mudguard, kickstand, and work stand all in one. A quick release allows it to rotate under the rear wheel on a specially designed axle mount. When in the lowered position it acts as a kickstand or workstand, makes folding your Montague easier, and allows the folded bike to be stored or displayed upright.

SETUP
All Montague bikes come '95% ready to ride' which means some minor assembly is required before you can take your new Montague bike out for a first ride.

Whilst this is generally within the realms of most competent home mechanics, our recommendation is always that you get your bike set up for you by your local independent bike shop.
Most have reasonable charges for an initial assembly and check-over (generally known as a PDI, or Pre-Delivery Inspection) and you can be sure that gears, brakes and other fine-tuning will be fully sorted for you.
It's also good to get to know them and see what other products and services they can offer.
When making your purchase, you can designate your local bike shop as the delivery address if you prefer. However, please book your assembly and checkover with them first and ensure that direct delivery to them is OK, as some have limited storage space and busy workshop schedules. If you need delivery to be on, or near, a particular date, please just email us after purchase and we will arrange this as close as possible.

Frame Sizing Suggestion

• Small (16): For riders 4'8 – 5’2”    Standover height is 28.5

• Medium (18): For riders 5’3 – 5’10”    Standover height is 29.5

• Large (20): For riders 5’11” – 6’4    Standover height is 29.5

Frame size determines things such as maximum saddle height and reach (distance between saddle and handlebars). These can also be fine-tuned by swapping out components such as the handlebar stem for a longer/shorter one and by adjusting the position of the saddle in relation to the seat post. Your local bike shop can help you determine these factors and get a perfect fit on your Montague bike.
