MONTAGUE Crosstown Folding Road Bike

  • Sale
  • £1,199.00

The Crosstown is a one-of-a-kind folding bike perfect for practical commuting and around-town riding. It’s an easy-to-use folding bike offering 7-speeds, 700c x 35mm tires, and a comfort saddle. This hybrid commuter comes in 17”, 19”, and 21” frame sizes, and offers portability and elegant style for a ride that’s sure to attract attention.

DirectConnect™ Folding System

The DirectConnect folding system removes the quick release from the top tube, and provides an easier folding experience and a larger clamping surface between the two halves of the frame. A flip of the quick-release lever and your bike folds to a compact size.

Folding Integrated Technology

The Crosstown frame is designed around another patented system that allows the bike to fold without any breaks in the frame’s tubing. Not only does this make it easier to fold, but it makes Montague bikes the strongest folding bike on the market. The Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) is based around the same frame construction concepts as serious full suspension downhill bikes.

700c x 35mm Tyres

Each bike in our pavement series comes equipped with 700c wheels. They offer a significantly better ride than the 24″, 20″, or 16″ wheels common on other folding bikes. The combination of 700c wheels and wide 35mm tyres keep it smooth over potholes and enhance handling, making it ideal over pavement and trails.

SETUP
All Montague bikes come '95% ready to ride' which means some minor assembly is required before you can take your new Montague bike out for a first ride.

Whilst this is generally within the realms of most competent home mechanics, our recommendation is always that you get your bike set up for you by your local independent bike shop.
Most have reasonable charges for an initial assembly and check-over (generally known as a PDI, or Pre-Delivery Inspection) and you can be sure that gears, brakes and other fine-tuning will be fully sorted for you.
It's also good to get to know them and see what other products and services they can offer.
When making your purchase, you can designate your local bike shop as the delivery address if you prefer. However, please book your assembly and checkover with them first and ensure that direct delivery to them is OK, as some have limited storage space and busy workshop schedules. If you need delivery to be on, or near, a particular date, please just email us after purchase and we will arrange this as close as possible.
